Leadership

Bryon White is the lead pastor of Kingsway Church in Cherry Hill, NJ.   Kingsway is a multi-cultural and multi-generational church, located 10 minutes from Philadelphia. He has served on the pastoral staff since 2000 and has been the lead pastor since May 2009.  He is a visionary leader/pastor who still believes in the necessity and mission of the local church. (John 20.21; Matthew 28.18-20; 1 Peter 5.4-6)  Pastor Bryon is aggressive in preaching the Gospel (Titus 3.4-7; 1 Corinthians 15.3,4) and teaches his people to live as missionaries in their community.

Prior to Kingsway he was a part of a church planting team that began a church in downtown Salt Lake City. In the past, he has primarily worked in student, worship and visual arts ministries. Pastor Bryon’s educational background includes a B.A. from Central Bible College and an M.A. in Ministerial Leadership from Southeastern University.

Pastor Bryon has been married to his college sweetheart, Lindsay, for 11 years.  They have two children, Ella, 9 and Noah 6.  He enjoys having coffee with his wife (both are coffee snobs), reading books, building Legos and riding bikes with Ella and Noah.  He is an avid reader, a newbie at triathlons, wannabe golfer (lowest round 83), given to modern design and Apple computers.  Watch the Kingsway Vision video here.

arlenapicArlena grew up in Bloomington, Indiana where she gained a love for college basketball (Go IU!) and mysteriously developed a rabid passion for the New York Yankees.  She graduated from Central Bible College in 1993 and moved to New Jersey.

Arlena’s journey to Kingsway began in North Jersey where she helped start and served on the staff of three different churches.  After 10 years of pastoral ministry, she took a one year break in order to finish her M.A. in Theological Studies.  In 2008, she joined the staff of Kingsway Church as the associate pastor and oversees life groups and missions.

Although her love of coffee, a good book, and time with friends is legendary, her greatest passion is seeing lives transformed by the truth of Scripture and the love of God lived out in the community of faith.

RJ and Jen Tate are ministry leaders at Kingsway, and welcomed their little boy, Charlie, on June 2, 2010.
RJ leads the student ministries (REVO www.revoyouthchurch.com) of Kingsway.  He graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2002 with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science.  He is known for his unique creativity and deep compassion for students.  He leads a team of 12 twenty-somethings, that make up the REVO youth staff.  RJ can be found reading Dwell magazine, making claymation videos or having a catch with a friend.

Jen is the Worship Director at Kingsway. She is a singer, songwriter, pianist and (occasionally) guitar player who graduated from Valley Forge Christian College in 2004 with a B.A. in Church Music.  She has been married to RJ for 2 years and loves to drink coffee, sell things on ebay, re-arrange her furniture and shop for good deals (never pay full price).  But when it all comes down to it, her passion is for God, and for writing and singing songs that help us better understand who God is, who we are, and how that all comes together in the end.

lsmith1Linda Smith is the Children’s Ministry Director at Kingsway Church.  Her passion for God and her love of children fuel her desire to see every child come to know the Lord.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Larry, since 1988.  Their oldest son, Tyler, is a junior at Rider University.  He pitches for the Broncs and is enrolled in their business program.  Their second son, Dustin, is a freshman at Liberty University in Virginia.  While he has enjoyed playing sports most of his life, he is hanging up his cleats and hitting the books having been accepted into their Honors Program for Communications. Their youngest child, Brenna, is a sophomore in high school.  She enjoys soccer, softball and throwing the shot.  Actively involved in Revo, Brenna enjoys hanging out with her friends on Friday nights.

You can find Larry and Linda out to dinner whenever they possibly can or relaxing at one of their children’s sporting events.  Her family’s support is invaluable to her and enables her to serve the most important people in the world – your children.
