Welcome to the Children’s Ministry at Kingsway.

KID’S WAY is the children’s ministry at Kingsway Church.  Kid’s Way encompasses all children ages birth to 5th grade.  Below are more details about the different ministries.

KIDMO (1st-5th Grade)

KIDMO is a media-driven, interactive curriculum filled with state-of-the-art Bible teaching, scripture memorization, and small group gatherings.  Children have the ability to earn coins each week for various activities throughout the morning.  The children bring them back on the last Sunday of each month so they can shop in our special store designed with them in mind.

We want to bring the Bible to life in a way that children can really understand and then apply it to their daily life.

PRE-SCHOOL (Ages 2-3 & 4-6)

We have two pre-school rooms located down our main hallway near the church office.  Pre-School One is for 2 and 3 year olds and Pre-School Two is for children ages 4-6.  Our warm and attentive staff is prepared and energized to make this time with your child not only educational but fun as well!

Kingsway Church’s children’s ministry program is specifically designed with your child’s needs in mind.  We believe it is important for every child to learn about God and to develop a close relationship with Jesus Christ.  We partner with parents to provide an environment where this knowledge and relationship can grow.

We provide age-appropriate rooms with curriculums designed for each age group.  We value safety – every volunteer is properly screened with a background check.  We value your child!  It is a privilege to serve them each week.

NURSERY (0-23 Months)

Kingsway Church’s children’s ministry program is specifically designed with your child’s needs in mind.  We believe it is important for every child to learn about God and to develop a close relationship with Jesus Christ.  We partner with parents to provide an environment where this knowledge and relationship can grow.  We have several options at Kingsway Church for parents of small babies.

QUIET ROOM
Our Quiet Room is a place designed for the mother of infants.  We support the mother’s need to be with her baby, so if you wish to remain close during our worship service, our Quiet Room is the place for you.

This sound-proof room has a glass window so you can see what’s happening as the sounds of the service are piped in.  This room provides a perfect environment where mothers can meet the needs of their child but can also engage in our service.  While we allow children into our sanctuary, we strive to provide a teaching atmosphere.  Babies tend to make noise, so if your child becomes disruptive to those around you, feel free to join our other mothers in our Quiet Room or bring your child back to our staffed nursery.

STAFFED NURSERY
We also provide a staffed nursery for children 0-23 months.  Our friendly volunteers are there every Sunday willing to serve.  Feel free to use this option if it better suits your needs.

There may be times when a child has a hard time staying in an unfamiliar room.  We want parents to always feel welcome to stay with their child, at any age, to help and reassure them.  This may mean that you miss service occasionally.  But before long, your child will not only love their new room, you’ll have the assurance that your child is secure with a deeper level of trust for you and their new environment.

WHO LEADS KID’S WAY?
Linda Smith is the Kid’s Way Director at Kingsway Church. Her passion for God and her love of children fuel her desire to see every child come to know the Lord.

She has been married to her high school sweetheart, Larry, since 1988.  Their oldest son, Tyler, is a junior at Rider University.  He pitches for the Broncs and is enrolled in their business program.  Their second son, Dustin, is a freshman at Liberty University in Virginia.  While he has enjoyed playing sports most of his life, he is hanging up his cleats and hitting the books having been accepted into their Honors Program for Communications. Their youngest child, Brenna, is a sophomore in high school.  She enjoys soccer, softball and throwing the shot.  Actively involved in Revo, Brenna enjoys hanging out with her friends on Friday nights.

You can find Larry and Linda out to dinner whenever they possibly can or relaxing at one of their children’s sporting events.  Her family’s support is invaluable to her and enables her to serve the most important people in the world – your children.
